MRI Magnetic Resonance Imaging in the Seattle area
The quality and resolution of an MRI image is determined not just by the quality of the scanner hardware (e.g., Field Strength, Rise Time, Slough Rate, number of coils, etc.), but also by a set of other seemingly obscure, but crucial, parameters that are manually selected by the technologist (e.g., slice thickness, pixel matrix, number of data acquisitions, etc.).
Image quality can vary widely between different scanners and different operators depending on the hardware installed and which parameters are “dialed in” by the MR techologist.
There is an overall correlation between higher resolution and longer scan times.
At Neurological Associates of Washington, we maintain a limited volume MRI facility and never compromise image resolution or scanning time to increase patient throughput.
Our scanner costs are simultaneously among the lowest (if not the lowest) in the region.
Our scanning facility is fully accredited by the American College of Radiology and our scans are read by Board Certified radiologists. Same day appointments are always available.
Our MRI service offers patients a wide array of MRI diagnostic service with the convenience of an “onsite” scanner. Our MRI scanner will allow a more precise diagnosis and is capable of performing the following studies:
- MRI of the Brain
- MRI Cervical, Thoracic, and Lumbar regions
- MRA of the Brain and Neck
- MRV of the Brain
- MRI of Brachial Plexus, Hip, Knee, Wrist, Ankle
MRI studies are frequently an integral step in the evaluation of neurological and neurosurgical conditions. Please see Common Diagnostic Procedures for further information.
Our 1.5 Tessla GE MRI scanner is located in our Kirkland Office.
